YouTube launches app to turn your Android phone into YouTube remote

first_imgYouTube is turning your Android smartphone into a remote. The video site has announced the launch of a new application called YouTube Remote. The application works in conjunction with YouTube Leanback, a special website for YouTube designed for use with large screens like a television running Google TV.To pair your phone with your Leanback session you simply need to log into both using the same YouTube account. Using YouTube Remote on your phone you will be able to search and queue up videos to play on Leanback. You can even use your smartphone to control the video during playback including the ability to play, pause, skip forward and back in addition to controlling sound volume.AdChoices广告YouTube Remote is currently in beta and available for download in the Android Market.
