The breast is positioned and compressed in the same way as for a 2D mammogram but the X-ray tube moves in a circular arc around the breast. It takes less than 10 seconds for the scan. The X-ray information is sent to a computer, which produces a focussed 3-D digital image of the breast.Talking about Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, Dr Mukta Mahajan, Consultant Radiologist, Breast Imaging and Intervention said, “The most important aspect as a breast radiologist at Cytecare Hospital is to spread awareness about personal risk-based screening and extent evaluation of breast cancer prior to planning treatment.”3D mammography has shown to reduce percentage of missed cancers by 15 per cent. More recent studies show about 30 per cent increased 3D mammography sensitivity and specificity compared to 2D Mammography with a recalls reduction in screening by approximately 40 per cent. center_img The missing informal workers in India’s vaccine story Menopause to become the next game-changer in global femtech solutions industry by 2025 MaxiVision Eye Hospitals launches “Mucormycosis Early Detection Centre” WHO tri-regional policy dialogue seeks solutions to challenges facing international mobility of health professionals Read Article Phoenix Business Consulting invests in telehealth platform Healphalast_img read more

EHF Challenge Cup: SKA Minsk with one hand on the trophy, wins 31:26 in Luxembourg

first_imgShareTweetShareShareEmailCommentsSKA Minsk and Spartak Mironovic are on the way to return the club where it was at the end of the 80’s, when the club won three times the EHF Champions League in 1987, 1989 and 1990. This time SKA Minsk won the lowest in ranking European Competition – the Challenge Cup – but with the superb play they’ve showed this season and also the fact that they are pretty much able to parry Dinamo Minsk and Brest Meshkov in the domestic Belarussian Championship, we can surely expect them to challenge a higher in rank EHF Competition next season. In the first leg of the Challenge Cup final, SKA Minsk won 31:26 against Handball Esch in Luxembourg, and with this victory the second-leg seems only a formality. Pukhouski was the game’s top scorer, while at the same time he is the Challenge Cup top scorer as well. Meshkov Brest beat SKA Minsk for Belarussian Cup trophy 2016! UWF Softball Falls 2-0 to UT in Elimination Round at NCAA South Region Tournament

first_imgUWF Softball Falls 2-0 to UT in Elimination Round at NCAA South Region Tournament Share May 9, 2008 Box Score  MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – In a pitching dual between the Argos Jillian LaFrance and Tampa’s Deanna Henriott, hits were hard to come by, as the two teams played in an elimination game. Then, it was a home run, and a lightning scare that took the highlights of the day. The two pitchers had combined for 38 wins this season, and were on their games in the pressure situation. Through the first 4 ½ innings, only three hits from the two teams combined were recorded against the starting pitchers. In the fourth inning, West Florida’s offensive leader, Nicky VanCamp doubled to start the inning. Dawnyele Stapleton pinch ran for VanCamp. After Jillian LaFrance walked, Aimee McMillion pinch ran for LaFrance, and a wild pitch moved McMillion and Stapleton to second and third, with no one out and provide the first real scoring threat of the game. However, Henriott proceeded to strike out the side to stop the rally.Meanwhile, LaFrance was outstanding, retiring the first 10 batters in order, until giving up an infield single in the fourth inning. Then, after getting the first two batters out in the fifth inning, a single, followed by a home run, put the Argos down 2-0. Then, lightning was detected in the area, and play was halted for 52 minutes. After the fifth inning was completed, another weather delay, with more lightning and potential hail, causes a longer delay. Finally play resumed at 5:00 pm Eastern time for the game that began six hours earlier. The UT Spartans picked up two more hits in the last two innings, while West Florida batters were unable to collect anymore. Six and a half hours after the start of the game, UWF suffered their final loss of the season. Despite the loss, the Argos had an incredible 2008 season finishing with a 40-23 record.
